Title: Next-to-next-to-leading order cross-section in perturbative theories

Abstract: Higher-order corrections in the Standard Model are essential for precision phenomenology in particle physics. These corrections can be divided into two classes: fixed-order computations and resummation. In this talk, I shall discuss about fixed-order computation in perturbative theories such as quantum chromodynamics and quantum electrodynamics. These fixed-order corrections present many conceptual and technical challenges. I shall discuss the origin of the conceptual challenges, which would then lead to the understanding of some universal properties of these fixed-order computations. In addition, I will also highlight some of the technical intricacies that arise during these computations. Finally, I will discuss how we tackled these challenges in the context of a fixed-order computation at next-to-next-to-leading order accuracy.
